What is Glaucoma ?

An eye disease that damages the optic nerve and impairs vision (sometimes progressing to blindness).

Risk factors

Risk Factors

There is a greater likelihood that a person will develop glaucoma if they have one or more of the following risk factors:

* Over the age of 40
* Raised pressure (IOP) inside the eye
* Family history , First degree relatives of glaucoma sufferers, have an 8x risk of developing glaucoma
* Myopic
* Diabetes / High blood pressure
* Suffered trauma to the eye
